A centralized traditional institution, built on councils that balance heritage with modern accountability.
Recognized by the General Assembly as the hereditary cultural monarch of the Reli people and the supreme symbol of unity, continuity, peace, and cultural identity, reigning from the Reli Palace in Bura Rungi.

The Foundational Chiefdoms
The Four Royal Chiefdoms
Established by the first Gerube Lo Reli, these four Royal Chiefdoms remain the foundational institutions upon which the governance of Tumata Lo Reli is built.
Beyond these four, the wider kingdom comprises thirteen Paramount Chiefdoms and forty-seven Sub-Chiefdoms, each with its own local leadership feeding into the Special Council of Chiefs.
Founding Document
The Constitution of Tumata Lo Reli
Promulgated on 11 February 2023, establishing the Gerube Lo Reli as the supreme traditional and cultural leader and defining the governance organs and hereditary chiefdoms of the institution.
Constitutional Recognition
The General Assembly has petitioned the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, to formally recognize the Tumata Lo Reli under Article 246 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and the Institution of Traditional or Cultural Leaders Act, 2011.
